Residence Inn by Marriott Phoenix West Avondale

“I had an enjoyable stay at Residence Inn. I was met by Maya who has a welcoming smile. This hotel is directly off the expressway. I had no issues with falling asleep. They put an extra window to block out the noise. My only concern was I was not able to open a window. There is a laundry facility and workout room for guests. Angelina, Paulina & Sabrina were so friendly and helpful in breakfast area. Maria at the front desk was nice. Pedro only smiled when I said “Vote for Pedro”. The bed and pillows were comfortable. ”

“Clean room and comfortable bed. Excessive freeway noise. Noise comes through hvac air vents and windows.”

— Verified Guest Dave B. • October 5, 2026

“About average. Requested early check in, understand that is not always an option but the front desk agent was unclear when rooms would be available. Biggest issue is pet urine smell in room 401. Hotel oversold so no change available. Will tell company to use different hotel, due to smell. All other hotel amenities very good. Pool, exercise, staff, general cleanliness , very good.”

“Excellent hotel. Check-in was quick and easy, the staff member that assisted was very nice. Our room was clean. The pool was also clean. The location is also perfect if you have any plans in the west valley. ”

“Hotel was perfect, enjoyed my stay. Easy check in, staff was friendly. The room was big and had everything I would need if I had to stay longer. The property was clean and I would stay here again. ”

“Unfortunately we did not have a good nor pleasant stay. Our room was directly across from the freeway and although I am am a Platinum Elite Member for life our room was extremely noisy, The staff were great and the room was very set up but the positioning of the hotel and of our room was terrible. The traffic sounds were nonstop and made sleeping difficult to near impossible. We ended up leaving by 5am as we just could sleep. If you are staying at this hotel I would highly recommend requesting to stay in a room not facing the freeway or find another hotel, ”

“Hands down best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Clean, room had little shown wear, staff was incredibly friendly and breakfast was amazing. Real dishes. My only recommendation would be to put out flavored creamers for the coffee. They are available on request though. Thank you for an amazing stay! ”

“Check-in was only shortly before midnight, and we were tired from a long drive. The staff was very friendly and did everything they could to make it quick, but we're having system issues. Once in the room and showering, I noticed smudges on the shower walls and hair on the floor. Before leaving the next morning, I asked to have the shower recleaned, specifically mentioning the smudges. I arrived back to the room to the dirty towels gone, garbage emptied, and smudges and hair. I later wiped the smudges off the wall myself with a wet washcloth. Otherwise, it was a good experience. Staff was always friendly and helpful. ”

“It was very nice. Rooms/ beds were clean. Sofa bed had all amenities to be comfortable. Full kitchen. Maya at the front desk was the nicest welcome . Breakfast was great. The spinach cheese quiche was a hit. Great coffee. Slept well. Easy check in. The front desk also accepts chase bank visa debit cards for security deposit . That’s a plus ”

“This particular Residence Inn is HORRIBLE! I almost always stay at Marriott brands vs Hilton. But this time I wished so badly that I had made a reservation at the Garden Inn right next store instead. Those guests appeared to be having much more enjoyable time. The location of this Residence Inn is poor-on a steep hill grade, right next to I-10…I mean so bad that the car headlights from the I-10 drivers comes in to the rooms all night. For a fairly ‘new’ hotel, it was filthy, worn down, dust & mold in many places, most of the furniture in the room was breaking down and had holes in them. The beds caved in in the center and had no backbone. Even with a “call use refrigerator“ in the room, most of the appliances they provided were broken so you couldn’t use them! Also, they do not even offer 24 hr coffee service in the lobby like every other location! I asked management; they admitted they don’t care & only have it during free breakfast. All others still offer it. Poor trained staff/rude ”
