“The only reason I did not give a 10 is be cause we were sent to our room after checking in only to find that housekeeping was still cleaning it. They finished fairly quickly so not a huge deal - but an inconvenience nonetheless. ”

“Beautifully maintained property. Friendly and helpful staff. Great outdoor lounge on the 4th floor. Gym was great. Laundry was easy and reasonable. Shuttle was so helpful and easy. Don’t forget to tip the driver! Only suggestion: the water is too soft (likely some kind of treatment system), but it wastes water because you have to spend more time trying to get the soap off. Overall great property!”

“The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The reason I gave this hotel a 5/10 rating is because of the way they sneak the $75/day self parking fee into the details on Expedia -- only there if you really research to find it. Oh, and they do send you an email that same day, so you know well in advance..lol.”

“Everything was good as expected of Marriott. The hotel is located in such a prime spot, perfect of relaxation or strolling through the Village. I would love to come back and stay for a longer time. ”

“The best thing about this hotel were the accommodations themselves. The hotel is new, beautifully designed, and in pristine condition. The lobby was beautiful and our room was really nice and spacious.
The worst thing about the hotel was the location and the parking. We paid extra for a room with a balcony, but you are right on the highway, so you can’t really sit out and enjoy it. It’s so loud you can’t have a conversation. And the hotel should absolutely disclose that you can’t park on site, which they did not. There is some parking there, which they charge for, but not enough. So we had to unload all our bikes and gear, then drive a mile away to a parking garage, then shuttle back. We had to pay $35/night, and there are no in and out privileges. So if you want to go to somewhere during the day, you have to pay every time you leave. Which is unfortunate because you aren’t in town and it’s not walkable. If I had known this, I would not have booked here. ”

“Great property, we’d stay here anytime we’re visiting Vail. The property itself is by far the nicest Residence Inn we’ve stayed at. Amenities were great, shuttles run to and from town, staff was outstanding. ”

“Very pleasant and helpful front desk and other staff. The shuttle to Vail and Lionshead Villages were easy to use and free. The room was spotless. Two concerns arose. First, the hot tub was overrun with unsupervised 12 year olds. Second, the cooking smells from the grills filled our room each evening. ”

“This place was one of the best hotels we have had the pleasure of staying. The breakfast was set up well, had no TV so it was quiet, and food had variety of hot and cold. The room was clean and updated. The bathroom was excellent. A pet peeve I have is when hotels do not have towel bars in order for the towels to dry. Yet the hotel expects us to use a towel more than once. This hotel had two towel bars plus two hooks . The other pet peeve I have is when there are no shelves in the shower to place toiletries. But this hotel provided PLENTY of shelving. Additionally there was sufficient lighting in the bathroom, which is often not the case after a hotel has updated. We would stay here again when we visit Vail. ”

“The room was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. We were only passing through, so we just needed the room to sleep. The sofa was freshly vacuumed, but we removed the cushions to find an abundance of pet hair on the pull-out bed. The mattress cover also had hair on it. The mattress was thin and the springs were protruding. Not suitable for the price. The king bed seemed small, and the mattress was very hard. The room lacked soundproofing. We had the misfortune of being placed in a room under a family with a crying baby and we were woken multiple times in the night. We’ve been traveling for 3 weeks and this is the worst night’s sleep I’ve had in any hotel during that time.

“Your team did a great job! The last night there was a power outage and they did a great job handling it. Only complaint was there were allot of kids running the hallway and making noise late at night. More the parents responsibility than the hotels.”

“I understand that there was a horrible city wide occurance. With the power going off. But coming back and having no assistance was really
mind blowing. We had no lights even emergency lights. We had to ask someone to walk us to our room because they had no one to help us. It was pitch black and we were told take the stairs but don’t worry your key still works. We then asked for a glow stick and he said good idea we have a case of them i will bring you one. Somebody needed to stand up.”

“Not bad, clean and polite, but because of high parking fee, I will choose other marriott properties first. I think you guys should reevaluate the importance you are putting on that fee. Is it worth a guest going somewhere else? Thank you! ”

“We stayed at the Vail location, beautiful place people were fantastic that worked there even though there is no generators on the property being without power in a hotel with no backup lights or anything for 12 hours and no hot water which means air-conditioning and all made it a little uncomfortable. I would strongly suggest getting generators just to make sure it’s safe. Other than that. It was a great visit. Thank you.”

“This is a newer Residence Inn that is well designed for a mountain atmosphere. Although the hotel is in close proximity to I-70 the road noise is minimal. The free hotel shuttle service into Vail Village is a great amenity as well as the daily breakfast. The hotel has a bar with and nice atmosphere, hours are limited. I recommend this hotel as a great option to more expensive options in Vail proper. ”

“Staff, accommodations, and ambiance all superb. The shuttle from the hotel to Vail Village and Lionshead is a terrific perk. Breakfast here is delicious with oatmeal and yogurt to waffles and bacon. Delicious coffee! This is our go-to hotel when we’re visiting Vail Valley.”
— Verified Guest BAKER •
Verified Guest Review7/10
“Room was fine, size and accommodations were adequate. Disappointed in ordering extra pillows, wifi was slow, and breakfast needs improvement. I.e. oatmeal was soupy, scrambled eggs were dry and tasteless. However, there were many alternatives for acquiring protein. Overall the room had a beautiful view but this meant being exposed to evening hours of sleep disruption due to highway noise.”

“Delightful stay with friendly, attentive and helpful staff! The shuttle to Vail village was so quick and we never had to wait more than a couple minutes for it in either direction. Free charging for EV’s in the parking garage is so nice! Only issues were the coffee was a bit watered-down and the HVAC didn’t seem to work as well overnight, but we highly recommend this hotel overall. ”

“Honestly there is not enough praise we can give to the Marriott Residence. Not only did they save us at a point when we had no where to live, the facilities were absolutely exceptional, clean, and spacious. Working in many hotels in my lifetime it is evident how much work the housekeeping team and public area team put in to ensure the entire area is spotless. The details are never missed either, even the glass is cleaned daily. Warren the GM was the kindest and most empathetic GM I have witnessed in my time, he personally steps in to ensure his employees can have a great work life balance, including covering the Front Desk. Blanca and Katelyn were there throughout the stay to make sure we had everything we need to be comfortable. Thank you for everything!!”

“Everyone was wonderful EXCEPT the lady in the breakfast area. She was there both days during
Our stay. She was rude and refused to get any more food even though it was 15 minutes before closing. All the entree containers were empty. Then she shut one of the doors saying it was almost closing time and I had to go around another way to get out. When I was trying to get coffee, she was reloading the sugar and tea area and refused to let me get a cup and sugar for my coffee. I had to wait until she was Finn before I could get my coffee. She acted like she could not wait for us to leave the area. Not a good employee at all and did not represent Marriott well at all. In the Denver Marriott we stayed the helpers in the breakfast area, said they were grateful we chose Marriott to stay. ”

“All my needs were taken care of, my room on the front highway side was very quiet with the sliding door to the balcony shut. The balcony was very noisy from the highway traffic, so if I stay here again I will bring noise canceling headphones to sit out there. There are no balconies on the back side of the hotel. The traffic is very loud on the 2nd floor deck and hot tub area. But it’s very well furnished and there’s a fire pit. They have a full American breakfast included and that was great. I charged my Tesla overnight, although it didn’t register on my phone, it did charge fully.
They did a great job as far as the hotel itself, it’s just it’s location. But for the price it’s nice. ”

“Check in was the worst I ever had (not just me, also my colleague). Super loud (if you build a hotel by the street, put windows in that keep the noise out), the guests in the next room were super loud (moving furniture or something), the screen feel off on the balcony, without even touching it (I just wanted to shut the door completely to try to keep the noise out).”

“The hotel was clean and spacious. It was right on the freeway so the outdoor areas were very noisy, but my biggest problem was after booking it with Expedia, arrived at property and I was hit with a $45 parking fee when Expedia said it included all fees. The person at the desk said guests are surprised by this fee. I said I saw no mention of it but I still ended up paying. So beware the price they quote is not the price you pay.”

“Please figure out a way to minimize the highway noise for rooms that face that direction; trucks barreling down I-70 kept us awake. $45 to park your car when you have no choice but to park at the hotel is ridiculous- this irritates me in general that this has become standard - just another way to stick it to the consumer. Other than that the room was clean and the front desk staff were professional and friendly. The breakfast was the usual powdered eggs and see through bacon.”

“The room was nice and the sandwich I got at the bar was really good.
However, I was put in a first floor room even though my profile preference is top floor and the a/c didn’t work, so my room was so hot I couldn’t sleep. My night was miserable because of that.
Additionally, $49 to park for one night is not reasonable. ”

“We had a fantastic time. Blanca to great care checking us in and going over the details of our stay. Blanca is very dedicated to make sure we knew about the parking fee of $45 and how to access the underground parking space. Plus all the amenities of the hotel. We enjoyed sitting in the Eagles Nest on the 4th floor just relaxing and taking in the view. We plan to come back and enjoy the BIG hot tub, forgot our suits. She also shared the hotel shuttle bus could take us to the Vail village and bring us back to the hotel later. We tried the Aspen Rose German restaurant, great Schnitzel and Schweinabraten.
The other star was the bartender, Miss Lisa. She also took great care of us. If we had not already eaten the evening menu looked very good. Miss Lisa is all smiles all the time and very respectful. My wife and I had a great time throughout the entire stay. ”

“The hotel is very nice. Cleanliness was excellent. My complaint was noise level. I stayed in a Mountain View suite 313. This is one of their upgrade rooms being a suite with separate sleeping bedroom. However right above this room is a viewing deck of the mountain. You can hear people every night until 11pm. It is really loud with people moving chairs and talking. I asked for room change which was unavailable. Hotel is nice but I would avoid any room below the 4th floor deck. ”

“The Vail Residence Inn exceeded my expectations. The check in was seamless and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful.. recommending a local delivery pizza place as it was a cold and rainy night. The room was clean, stylish, comfortable and spacious. My husband and I drove 24 hours to Vail so we appreciated a hot shower ( awesome shower pressure and bathroom amenities) and a very comfortable bed. After a good nights sleep we had a great breakfast in the lobby. I typically skip hotel breakfasts and I am a breakfast snob ( no sugar cereals, runny powdered eggs, cold meat products, or hard muffins for me!). The Residence Inn breakfast was outstanding! Coffee was excellent and I had warm oatmeal with great “fixings”. It was a great way to start the day. Great job Residence Inn.

The room itself had such a unique layout and we enjoyed the nice quality of the room, as well as the kitchenette and sitting area. We also utilized the free shuttle. “The property is well appointed and in a great location. The rooms were very clean and did not disappoint except the bed. The mattress seemed hard to me and I’m not usually a picky person. Also the thing that I’m mostly annoyed at is that the parking fee was $45! We did not know this until check-in after we had already paid and it was too late to back out. That was about 1/3 of the cost of the room. We did not see that online and not until we scrolled to the very bottom did we find it.”

“The place was great! Clean, and great showers just a very comfortable stay. BUT it's blows my mind to have to pay 45$ to park there. Now it is in a garage so that's nice security. BUT if your truck don't fit and you have a trailer you have to park outside, and there's no parking. There's only 5 spots so you have to disconnect and put it in a spot.
So to keep it kinda politely it sucks. But it's a ski lodge and a very nice and comfortable one for the great price you have to pay.👌”

“The property is nice but, there was no hot water to the rooms. This wasn’t mentioned upon check-in and I only learned of the issue as I tried to shower. When I mentioned as I checked out and desk seemed to be unaware, until two other guest complained that this was two in a row. So disappointing, I otherwise thought it was what you hoped for in a Marriott property.”

“Ive stayed at many hotel rooms. The room design was one of the best and most comfortable I’ve stayed in a long time. Clean room with all the best amenities in room. The only downfall was the food prices and options from bar/grill especially after a long drive $20 salad and $ 20 dollar sandwich was a disappointment. But the overall stay was beautiful! Very nice hotel! ”

“The property is immaculately clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The little kitchen is sparsely outfitted for actual cooking, but we were able to grill a steak on the outdoor grill and sauté some veggies in the room. Lovely property, within walking distance of groceries, and good shuttle service. Parking is $45 in the garage, where they have storage available for equipment. Friendly staff.”

“These types of hotels are some of my favorite... well appointed, modern features, and The Residence Inn Vail has one of the best showers I have ever experienced in a hotel!
That said, my wife and I are low impact travelers where we don't need people parking our car, taking our luggage, or even taking our food order... so the included breakfast buffet in the morning was perfect.
The garage below hotel was easily accessible, and the elevator was just steps from where we parked. Even better, the hotel was no more than a five minute drive from Vail in one direction, and a five minute drive to a Safeway grocery store in the other direction. While we didn't use the shuttle to/from Vail, it was nice to know it was available.
If you're traveling with kids or even in your 50s like us looking for something a bit more modest than the top-shelf hotel brands, you will NOT be disappointed here!”

“Nice hotel but needs tweaks on their housekeeping service and their shuttle service. Housekeeping was mostly nonexistent and you had to request everything and still basics are left out - toilet paper, etc. Must offer shuttle to restaurants at night with text/phone capability to reach driver. They have an app but it’s useless as well as trying to schedule the shuttle for dining reservations. All other hotels we normally stay at have this. Wound up having to Uber every night and could never count on shuttle- app was never correct. ”

“I was disappointed in my stay at the Marriott in Vail, CO. Primarily because, despite placing a reservation months in advance, we were placed in an adjoining room where we could hear the conversations of the people in the adjoining room. I never thought I needed to request a “regular” room that was not a suite/adjoining room. I can’t imagine why we were put there as we made the reservation a couple months prior and when we called the front desk, they offered to put us in a different room so obviously, they had regular rooms available. However, we’d hauled everything in early that day and were tired from our journey so we stayed put. Also, one day, the front desk told us they had service to get me down the road to my conference and next day I was told they don’t provide the service. Inconsistent. I had to scramble to get there. It was the hotel my conference was being held that offered to come to me to transport me to the conference! Overall disappointed but, breakfast was good. ”

“This is a fantastic Marriott property. A few little tweaks and its a 10! Let's start with the positives! This location serves a great breakfast. They also have a decent shuttle service to/from Lionshead and Vail Village. The shuttle doesn't run as frequently as the others so adding another will cover all bases. The Hot tub & Fire pits are in a great outdoor space, could use a privacy wall to block the view of RT70 (and it road noise) The gym is ample size but could use a freshening up. Treadmills are a tad on the older side model wise but new in condition. Lobby is warm and inviting. Staff is always on hand to accommodate. There might even be bikes on hand but couldn't tell and didn't have the time as it was all about the snow and skiing! Great value, with most of the trimmings for a ski vacation of any size.”

“I wanted to take a moment to recognize an outstanding member of your front desk team who truly helped your hotel stand out from the competition. As someone who travels more than 250 days a year, I can confidently say that Blanca Alvarez is a true ROCK STAR.
From the moment I arrived, her warm demeanor and professionalism made an exceptional first impression. Blanca’s attention to detail, extensive knowledge of the property and surrounding area, and her sensitivity to my needs was evident in every interaction. She approached every task with enthusiasm, confidence, and genuine care.
Having spent many years on the road, I can immediately recognize someone who is passionate about their work, and Blanca certainly is. Throughout my stay, her patience, willingness to assist at any time, and personalized service made a remarkable difference.

“We had a fantastic stay! Robert and Bianca at the front desk were extremely helpful. We were able to receive a complimentary upgrade (due to status), and it was so kind of Robert to check to see if one was available. I spoke to Bianca about late checkout and she confirmed with her manager that it was doable. The drivers were all very kind and helpful. The shuttle service is definitely a perk. We did not have to wait long for the shuttle at the hotel or at Lionshead/Vail. The shuttle was actually readily available every time we needed it. Our room was spotless, and very quiet. Loved unwinding and relaxing in our room after our long days on the slopes. The location is wonderful as well- very close to Lionshead/Vail. “Amazing place to stay! My husband had surgery in Vail and we were there a couple days later after surgery. It was the perfect place everything we needed to feel at home. A stocked kitchen was amazing we could cook and just be comfortable. The staff were amazing and very helpful. With very clean rooms. The staff gave us whatever we needed and was a pleasure stay. The only thing that I would recommend is a discount for hospital patients like some other hotels in vail. Being connected to the hospital is huge especially with the amenities you guys offer. It felt like a little apartment and like at home. People who come out of town for surgery don’t have a choice to stay there. So some kind of benefit would’ve awesome. Yes they don’t clean the rooms every day not many do - just ask they will. The room was modern and cozy. It had all the amenities we needed to cook,, dishes, fridge, microwave, toaster, dishwasher. The desk in the room had enough outlets, lighting and a comfy chair. The bedding was cozy and fresh. Breakfast in the am standard. Dog friendly is an understatement. Everyone was great, we had a sign on the door that said paws inside, they said he could ride the shuttle if the others were ok, hang in lobby as long as not bothering and a sidewalk right outside the door that goes the entire frontage road. We did get to enjoy the 20 person hot tub which was well managed. There is even a roof deck (eagles nest) which had heaters, couches, fireplace and tv. I would give this hotel 5 stars!”

While other Ressidence Inn locations either like marriott leave two in room or front desk allow you to grab in market inside the lobby. 2. Took 2 nights out of my four get a light bulb fixed. 3. With heat on bedroom section came out warm air while living room vent was lukewarm warm to cool and not same Suite #244. Use laser temp guide. “Very disappointing stay. The hotel description does not mention that rooms are not cleaned daily. After long ski days, we repeatedly returned late at night to find no clean towels, no toilet paper, and no tissues.
One of the two elevators broke on the second day and was not repaired for a week, according to staff. On the fourth day, the second elevator also broke, forcing us to carry ski equipment up four floors. Although one elevator was later fixed, it broke again on our departure day, and we had to carry five pieces of luggage downstairs with no assistance.
We were also incorrectly charged for two nights of parking ($45 per night) after briefly allowing friends (not staying at the hotel) to park for a few hours.
Rooms are acceptable in size but dirty, and customer service is poor. Not recommended if you expect daily housekeeping, room service, or reliable service overall.”

“Extremely expensive for what it is. Bathroom toilet was clogged. 2 out of the 3 TVs had no remote controls. They charged $45 for parking. Not worth it. ”

“We stayed 6 nights in a studio-style room at the Residence Inn West Vail, CO. The location is excellent, with easy access to Lionshead and Golden Peak ski areas, and the complimentary shuttle service was fantastic for commuting to the ski towns. However, several aspects fell short of Marriott standards. The weekday breakfast menu was repetitive and limited, with no bread for sandwiches, no fruit salad or cut fruit, and only waffles added on weekends. When I asked the manager about rotating the menu, his response was dismissive and unfriendly. Housekeeping was also inconsistent—though the front desk stated refresh service every three nights and full service every four, it was not done until requested. Additionally, the building lacks proper noise insulation, and conversations from adjacent rooms were disruptive at night. While the shuttle and location were strong positives, the overall experience was average due to poor breakfast, service, and housekeeping. ”

“The hotel was wonderful, as was the staff. Bianca and the GM , Warren were exceptional. The deck on the fourth floor was amazing! I stay here every time I’m in Vail. ”

“Loved the location, the atmosphere, the breakfast. To top it off the rooms and bedding were sparkling clean. And it is nice to have a bar available for relaxing in the evening.
Robert at the front desk was soooo kind, attentive and informative.
Will be back several times this next year. ”

“The stay itself was good. The room was beautiful and the people were kind. I’m rating the stay a 1 because the fridge didn’t work and it ruined the food we had put in there. I told front desk and no compensation was offered or anything. Also they charges me 150 for incidentals which is fine because it’s 50 nights a stay and I paid for 3 days of parking 45 per night, fine again however they told me that I would have that come out of my incidentals and they would give back $5, cool that’s fine. But they charged my card an extra $60 and they can’t even tell me for what I called today 9:17 pm mountain time to ask and the lady who helped me couldn’t give me a response. Only would tell me that it’s not a charge because it’s pending and then told me she would transfer me to her manager which sent me to voicemail and he wasn’t even in. I called back yo tell her and she just said “ if we need to give you a refund that he’ll definitely do it” she offered to take my number but how can I trust her”

“We had an enjoyable stay at the hotel. The breakfast was very good, and we especially loved relaxing in the jacuzzi at night. The only downside was that housekeeping did not clean our room every day, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, though, our experience was good.”
